Wind Effect of High-Rise Buildings on the External Surfaces of Neighboring Buildings
A residence project called "Four Winds", 49-story height high-rise buildings, was prepared by Tasyapi Construction. Wind effects of this project was tested on its vicinity. These 4 high-rise buildings and its close environment were modeled considering the similarity laws between model and real case for wind tunnel test. Three neighboring buildings were chosen to point out the changes in wind pressure coefficients. Results were compared with the "TS 498 Wind Standard of Tall Buildings in Istanbul" which is prepared by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2009. Wind pressure coefficients on the surface of Building-3 (Southeast Side) exceeded the critical value defined in the TS 498 Standard.

Experimental analyzes were carried out in the atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel. The test section length is 12 m and the test section measurements are 2.5 m-1.85 m. The open circuit subsonic wind tunnel, all of the building-wind interaction analyzes can be carried out.
