Antalya is located at the Southwest side of Turkey. In this city, there is an historical region called as “Old City” which consists of amphitheater, castle, two-storey height residential buildings surrounded by bulwark. Left figure shows the old city and its boundary to the modern city consisting of 8-15 story high-rise buildings.The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of high-residential buildings on wind and traditional settlement in Antalya for dominant wind directions (N–NW). Therefore, four case studies were conducted to understand the wind effect.
• First, current condition of the chosen area.
• Second, high residential blocks were assumed to be 3-story height(Alt-1).
• Third, high residential blocks were assumed to be 2-story height(Alt-2).
• Forth, In addition to the third case, distances between buildings(Alt-3).
